    Lindsey Alvis

    CREATIVE DIRECTOR & CEO

    Lindsey, a passionate advocate for community arts and inclusivity.

    Lindsey joins us following an impressive career in the arts, having worked as a theatre producer for a London-based touring company and Liverpool Everyman Playhouse, was part of the City of Culture Team before joining Middle Child as Executive Director and Joint CEO.

    Most recently Lindsey was the Relationship and Development Manager at Parents and Carers in Performing Arts (PiPA).

  • Bex Gellatly

    GENERAL MANAGER

    Bex is an experienced people & project manager responsible for the daily operation of Artlink.

    Beyond her management skills, Bex brings a love for art and a passion for connecting people. When she's not at Artlink, Bex likes to watch zombie films and practice yoga - though not at the same time.

  • Lucy Elmes

    LEAD CREATIVE PRODUCER + CURATORIAL ASSISTANT

    Lucy is responsible for the development, planning and delivery of projects across Artlink Hull’s creative arts programme, collaborating with partners, funders, charities, community groups, arts organisations, libraries, and residential and care services across Hull, and the wider region. Lucy works on the development and delivery of the exhibitions programme at 87 Gallery with Becky and is passionate about accessibility.

    Lucy has worked for various organisations in the arts and charity sector in Hull and Yorkshire since 2016, following a career in Marketing & PR and finance administration. Lucy is a keen collector of ceramics and a Hornsea Pottery and Research Society committee member. She is setting up a home ceramics studio to develop her practice and is an advocate for all things clay.

  • Matt Fratson

    ENGAGEMENT PRODUCER

    Matt works to design and implement new ways of supporting the diverse communities we work with. His key responsibility is to shape 87 Gallery's learning programme, managing Streams, TIMES, and leading our in-house Explorers groups for children and young people. Alongside these responsibilities, he produces films documenting the production of each exhibition.

    Matt is a qualified teacher, and an Associate Lecturer at University of the Arts, London, where he graduated in 2020 with a distinction in MA: Fine Art Digital. He explores relationships between memory, earth sciences and digital cultures within his practice.

  • Becky Gee

    CURATOR

    Becky is responsible for developing the exhibitions programme at 87 Gallery. She works closely with artists on commissions, exhibitions and other professional development opportunities. Becky is an advocate for Hull and its art scene and hopes that the work of 87 Gallery will help to nurture a healthy arts ecology in the city.  

    Alongside her role at Artlink Hull, Becky is also a PhD researcher at MIMA (Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art), Teesside Archives and Teesside University. Her research is on the artist commission in response to public art collections, with a focus on the Middlesbrough Collection at MIMA.
